John P. Graf
John P. Graf ("J.P.") was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and raised in Crowley, Louisiana. He graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in 2009 and then attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he graduated Cum Laude in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law. J.P. went on to earn his Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
While at LSU Law, J.P. clerked for the Honorable Judge Patrick Hanna, United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Louisiana and interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana. J.P. was a member of the Journal of Energy Law and Resources, in which his article “Take 2: The Fifth Circuit’s interpretation of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act in United States v. CITGO” is published. In addition, J.P. was president of the LSU Law Running Club.
J.P. has received the following awards and recognitions for his accomplishments in litigation:
- Louisiana Super Lawyers - Rising Star in the field of personal injury litigation, an invitation only designation which includes only 2.5% of attorneys in Louisiana. 2020
- The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40, an exclusive designation for trial lawyers who exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership. 2020
J.P. is currently a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, Louisiana State Bar Association, Lafayette Parish Bar Association and Lafayette Parish Young Lawyers Association.
In his free time, J.P. enjoys hunting, watching ULL and LSU sporting events, and attending local festivals. He resides in Lafayette with his wife Carli.
